Artist: Thomas Jackson's Emergent Behavior

Thomas Jackson is a San Francisco-based photographer who constructs temporary installations to make individual shots of photograph as part of his series, Emergent Behavior series. He creates various structures that imply movement of both visible (light) and invisible (wind) energy by placing multiples of common objects such as plastic cups, hula hoops, and party decors. I personally love it when I come across artworks of visually satisfying craftsmanship in this era of massive digitally generated images. Read below of Jackson's comment on his series:

The images attempt to tap the mixture of fear and fascination that those phenomena tend to evoke, while creating an uneasy interplay between the natural and the manufactured and the real and the imaginary. At the same time, each image is an experiment in juxtaposition. By constructing the installations from unexpected materials and placing them where they seem least to belong, I aim to tweak the margins of our visual vocabulary, and to invite fresh interpretations of everyday things.

Jackson will be showing many images from Emergent Behavior at Miller Yezerski Gallery in Boston starting November 18, 2016.

Street Artist: Delightful Murals By YASH

My interest for street art grew significantly bigger as there are more and more street art and/or murals up on the walls in the energetic, dynamic, and cool scene.
 
Linus Lundin AKA YASH is a mural artist based in Stockholm who draws inspiration from people, animals and their feelings. Light, colors and emotion play a central role in his work as well as a love for shapes and simplicity. YASH's use of color for these dewy-eyed girls are like a dream!

Artist: Paul Rousteau's Hauntingly Beautiful Mix Of Realism And Surrealism

Paul Rousteau is a photographer who is based in Paris and London. When you first look at Rousteau's works, you will notice that the photographs are in a collection of three or often more photographs and they are in fact hauntingly beautiful in color. Rousteau arranges realistic up front photographs and blurred dreamlike photographs together like a collage to create a juxtaposition of dreamworld and reality (rather fashionable reality).

Blurred photographs are often considered as something to be avoided, but in his art, Rousteau renders blurs "painterly". He is such a gentle, delicate, yet powerful photographer.
