Full Color Printed Face Masks

We use dye sublimation which works by infusing a surface with dye from a printed image by adding heat and pressure. The fibers of the surface are permanently coated with the dye ink which allows for bright, bold colors, plus your design won't fade or crack.

Masks are non-medical grade, reusable and have three layers to keep you protected. The two outer layers are made from polyester and the inside layer is made from cotton. All masks have a black trim and soft stretchy ear loops allowing for comfortable wear all day. Masks come in three different sizes: child, adult large and adult medium. We strongly recommend washing your masks after each use.

Printing on Fabric

Printing your favorite artwork on fabric to decorate your space is a really fun way to liven up any room. We offer custom printing on fabric using a technique called dye sublimation printing. Some features when using this process are that the printed fabric won't fade or crack over time. Integrating Plastic-free /Eco-friendly packaging.

Plastic free packaging, a risky yet a worthy journey. Without interrupting our current work flow, can a company that sells fragile and/or irreplaceable art products like plexi face mount, picture frames, original art, and painting achieve plastic free secure packaging? It's risky. A small scratch or a dent, it comes with a cost.

Who am I kidding?  We have seen the tragic outcome of oceans filled in plastic waste and cannot ignore it.

We depend on online retail and today it seems impossible to go without it. An article by Jon Bird noted, "We turn a blind eye to the environmental cost of online retail, particularly when it comes to packaging."

Packing necessary vs unnecessary. 

We have seen it all. Overdoing packaging, adding excessive plastic for protection. Making biodegradable products like food and drinks into waste, due to packaging remaining waste. I mean, it's not fair to call out names because it's everywhere! Perhaps, one can argue what is considered necessary and who determines what is unnecessary packaging? Why don't we have clear restrictions and guidelines for packaging materials? 

Closer look into our packaging. 

Shipping materials that we currently use are bubble wrap, tape with custom branding, shrink wrap, strapping for heavy and large items, shipping clear documentation envelop, address labels, fragile stickers, cardboard sheets, foam corner protection and corner post. Depending on the product being shipped, we use a combination of packaging materials. As of now, we use minimal packaging materials. And for now, exploring Eco-friendly alternative seem like the way to go. 

Apart from that, we also receive materials from various distributors, which contains a ton of packaging materials. 80 % of these packaging materials that we receive are reused or recycled. The rest 20% end up in the waste due to shipping damages. Even if we find an alternative plastic free packaging solution for our shipments, what do we do with the packaging materials that we receive? Now that means we cannot reuse these materials, and that's a waste of materials. 

Alternative Solution Currently available:  

Tape: 

Reusable Kraft Tape, is stronger than masking tape and easy to use. No water or dispenser required. To use it simply unroll and tear by hand.

Shrink Wrap:

Regular plastic takes years to break down, whereas Biolefin by National Shrink Wrap, shrink wrap that will be degraded into biomass within 9 months.

Bubble wrap: 

Corrugated bubble by EcoEnclose, made of 100% recycled cardboard; which is made from post-consumer and post-industrial waste. 

Most importantly, the cost of plastic free, recyclable or biodegradable materials must be an affordable alternative. If the cost exceeds the current material cost, it will affect our business. 

Addressing the root cause.

Most certainly, plastic has it's benefits. For example, "...one-use plastics in the medial sector have made syringes, pill bottles and diagnostic equipment more safe." Perhaps, plastic has been taken for granted. We most certainly have seen it overused, at times when it can be avoided. Likewise, individually packaging products like snacks and beverages. Increasing packaging waste by making products more convenient and accessible without the awareness of environmental damage needs to be addressed. 

Perhaps eliminating the root production of plastic. And having strict standards of regulation as to where and where not to use plastic. This will certainly end the plastic epidemic. If plastic packaging materials are banned, what will happen? Not the end of the world, but it will enforce alternative plastic free solutions. No matter what, distributors and manufacturer will find alternative ways.  

I am sure we aren't the only one trying an alternative solution. Testing our products and seeing if these fragile product will survive shipping, will cost us. But this awareness will reduce plastic waste.

Our Top Tips for Applying Resin

Resining is steadily becoming one of our more popular services. Resin is a high-gloss epoxy coating that creates a gorgeous, durable finish on any rigid piece. While the final effect can be stunning, resin is also notorious for being finicky and unpredictable. To prevent air bubbles and other unexpected reactions, we have a few tips below to help you prepare your art piece for the best resining experience possible. Whether you're bringing it or doing it on your own, these tips can still apply.

1 - Keep your material rigid.

Whether you're painting on birchwood, doing a collage on aluminum, or sculpting on top of mdf, the principle is the same – whatever the medium is, make sure it is stiff, flat and rigid. As resin hardens, it becomes heavier, which can cause the fluid to shift unevenly throughout your piece.

A common material that people want to resin is canvas. While possible, we typically recommend sliding in a wooden backing board behind the fabric to better support the resin. If you are buying pre-made or manufactured canvases, try to pick higher-quality ones that have thicker weights and that have been stretched as tightly as possible. This will prevent the resin from pooling in the middle of the canvas, causing it to sag.

2 - Fully seal your material before you create your artwork.

We all know that the base material should be primed before you do you artwork – however, in this case, it is imperative that your surface is completely sealed before you begin your project. Otherwise, air may be able to filter through between cracks in birchwood or the gaps between canvas threads, resulting in more air-bubbles in the resin. Although air-bubbles can usually be mitigated by use of a blowtorch, some bubbles can still develop after the resin has been torched, hardening into long silvers of white cracks.

3 - Make sure your artwork is completely dry.

One last thing to consider is to ensure your artpiece is completely dry and sealed with a top coat. Sometimes resin can lift certain mediums (think wet-based mediums like acrylic or ink in great concentration, or dry mediums that are powdery, such as pastels, chalk, etc), and they can migrate over to different part of the image. Sealing dry materials in with some fixative or matte top coat will help keep mediums in place while the resin runs and cures.

Practical Ways to Integrate Custom Art in Your Home

Now that the days are clearer and people are walking about more, those for-sale signs are being picketed left, right and center! If you’re looking to do move into a new home, or do some home improvements in the good weather, we have some ideas below to integrate art soulfully and practically in your home.

Soundproofing Panels

Using a combination of canvas art and egg-crate foam creates the perfect solution for soundproofing a room. Our reference page walks you through all that you need to make your rooms beautiful and functional at the same time. You will need:

-Canvas panels (upload your own pictures here for that extra personal touch)

-Eggcrate foam of the same size and dimension as the panels (found on Uline, Amazon, Walmart or Michaels).
