Happy belated National Dog Day (August 26)! Pets and our love for the pets inspire us everyday, every hour, and every second because our lifetime friend's loving-kindness endures.

It wasn't surprising to find out that there are many artists in all era have their loving companions by their sides rain or shine. In this article, we will take a look at the pictures of the artists and their pets together(one of the reasons could be just to remind ourselves with how the artists looked like), and the artistic interpretation of their loving friend. Aritst: Sunga Park's Atmostpheric Architecture Paintings

“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta

Today's article is about a Bangkok based Korean artist, Sunga Park's  watercolor paintings of architecture created during her trip in Central Asia, Europe and India. To write this article about her work, I searched for travel quotes and eventually came across the quote above. I believe that the quote delivers exactly what Park does in her paintings, capturing breathtaking view through the eyes of a curious artist. I could imagine her sitting on the side of a road concentrating on the buildings to feel and to hold the mirror up to the sight. Her mouth might be silent, but her eyes and her hand with a pen and a brush should be busy talking. You will get a sense of what I am talking about here when you look at the paintings below.

At USA on Canvas, we receive countless amount of print orders from professional and amateur artists from all over US who do traditional and digital artworks mostly for their customers. 

We encourage artists to sell their prints through us by offering an account with re-seller/pro discount. To set your account as a re-seller/pro, send us an email with your business information (name, phone and website) and we will set your account as pro-seller with 20% discount to start. When placing orders online you can enter any address in US or Canada as your shipping address, if you send labels or stickers we can attach them for you. Please note still the shipping boxes will have our labels on them.

Before everyone is ready to apply for the re-seller/pro account, we would like to go over promotional prints, the classic way to promote your art. Nowadays, there are bountiful online portfolio sites and online shops available for the artists to reach out for their potential customers. The sites are accessible and user-friendly BUT sometimes it is quite difficult to know what what it would be like exactly in real life.

Most importantly, there should be your ART that is standing out. Giant Athletes Appear In Rio De Janeiro

Sports players and fans all around the world are enthusiastically gathered in Rio to celebrate the world's quadrennial event, Olympic Games Rio 2016. We are glad that there are artists are among them.

In anticipation of the Olympic Games opening this week-end in Rio De Janeiro, French artist JR unveiled a series of giant installations. The first giant street art piece represents Sudanese athlete Mohamed Younes Idriss who lives and trains in cologne, germany. ‘He missed out on qualification for the 2016 rio olympics but he is there some how,’ JR says. The second artwork which  can be found around the barra neighborhood, showing a diver leaping into an adjacent area of the ocean. also attached to large-scale metal beams, the artwork illustrates an athlete with arms stretched open hovering over nearby rocks and making its way into the water below. via StreetArtNews

Tilt-Shift a Van Gogh

We posted a blog article about 3D printing of Van Gogh in May. His masterpieces are so loved all around the world that many of his creative fans are reproducing his paintings in different techniques and medium.

Despite our humble opinion that Vincent van Gogh’s works are stunning as is, we were pleasantly entertained by the simple shift in focus made to his paintings by Reddit user melonshade. By placing the works into Photoshop and adding a bit of blur to the painting’s backgrounds, they were able to bring a new perspective to the century-old images, simulating the effect of a tilt-shift lens.

Melonshade’s interventions were inspired by image manipulations previously created by Serena Maylon on Artcyclopedia. You can also view Maylon’s altered works on Imgur. (via Laughing Squid)
